Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was first gymnast to score a perfect 10 on an Olympic celebration. Bela Karrolyi, a Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci aged six. The first time she competed at the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She won the competition in 1970. Three gold medals were awarded in her first competition, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 for communist countries. The following year, 1973 as well as 1974 she won the junior champion in all-round competitions. When she made her first senior competition in the year 1975, she defeated Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champ winning four golds and a silver. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first female to do a backward double salto as an unmounting from uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey of Carol Wayne in the world of entertainment began as a teenager. Together with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol's career began in entertainment during her teenage year. At the age of a girl, she began performing as a figure skating performer with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performances.
